কিউসেক কী? কিভাবে পরিমাপ করে?
What is Cusec ?: প্রবল বৃষ্টি হলে বিভিন্ন ড্যাম গুলো জলপূর্ণ হয়ে যায় তখন শুনতে পাই এই ড্যাম থেকে এতো কিউসেক জল ছাড়া হল তাছাড়া বিভিন্ন দেশের নদী চুক্তির সময়ও কিউসেক শব্দটা শুনতে পাই। আজো আমরা শুনলাম দূর্গাপুর ব্যারেজ থেকে ১ লক্ষ ৪৬ হাজার ১৭৫ কিউসেক জল ছাড়া হয়েছে। কিউসেক আসলে কী? চলুন একটু জেনে নেওয়া যাক।
কিউসেক হল তরল পদার্থের প্রবাহ মাপার একক। আরো সহজ করে বললে কোন জলাধার বা ড্যাম থেকে ১ সেকেন্ডে ১ ঘনফুট বেগে জল ছাড়া হলে তাকে বলা যেতে পারে ১ কিউসেক জল ছাড়া হল।
কিভাবে পরিমাপ করে কিউসেক
১ কিউবিক ফুট এর অর্থ হল (1 Cusec= 28.316847 বা 28.317 litres) ২৮.৩১৭ লিটার জল। যদি শোনেন কোন ড্যাম থেকে ১ কিউসেক জল ছাড়া হল তার অর্থ ১ সেকেন্ডে ২৮.৩১৭ লিটার জল বেড়োয় এমন গতিতে জল ছাড়া হল।
অর্থাৎ যদি কোন দেশের সাথে চুক্তি হয় যে তারা ১ কিউসেক জল প্রতিবেশি দেশকে দেবে তার অর্থ হল
তাহলে সর্বমোট জলের পরিমান হবে: (৩৬৫ x ২৪ x ৬০ x ৬০ x ২৮.৩১৭ x ১) সেকেন্ডে ১ কিউসেক জল তারা প্রতিবেশি দেশকে দেবে।
তাহলে হিশেবটা হবে এমন- বছরে ৩৬৫ দিন, প্রতিদিন ২৪ ঘন্টা, ঘন্টায় ৬০ মিনিট, এবং প্রতি মিনিটে ৬০ সেকেন্ড। = ৮৯৩০০৪৯১২ লিটার
সুতরাং, ঊননব্বই কোটি ত্রিশ লক্ষ চার হাজার নয়শো বারো লিটার জল এক বছরে এক দেশ তার প্রতিবেশী দেশকে দেবে। এবার প্রবল বর্ষণের পর ঘোষণা করা হল যে ৫ হাজার কিউসেক জল ছাড়া হল অর্থাৎ সেকেন্ডে ওই পরিমাণ জল ছাড়া হল।
আসলে কিউসেক আয়তনের এককই নয়। কিউসেক হল দু’টি রাশি যুক্ত করে তৈরি একক। এর মধ্যে রয়েছে আয়তনের একক কিউবিক ফুট বা ঘনফুট ও সময়ের একক সেকেন্ড। এক সেকেন্ডে কত কিউবিক ফুট জল বাঁধ থেকে ছাড়া হল তা মাপা হয় কিউসেক দিয়ে।

Cusec is the unit of measurement of fluid flow. Simply put, if water is released from a reservoir or dam at a speed of 1 cubic foot per second, it can be said to be without 1 cusec of water.
How to measure Cusec?
1 cubic foot means (1 Cusec = 28.316847 or 28.317 liters) 26.317 liters of water. If you hear that 1 cusec of water is released from a dam, it means that 26,317 liters of water is released in 1 second.
This means that if there is an agreement with a country that they will give 1 cusec of water to the neighboring country
Then the total amount of water will be: (365 x 24 x 60 x 60 x 26.317 x 1) 1 cusec of water per second they will give to the neighboring country.
Then the calculation would be – 365 days a year, 24 hours per day, 60 minutes per hour, and 60 seconds per minute. = 693004912 liters
Thus, ninety-nine crore three million four thousand nine hundred and twelve liters of water a year a country will give to its neighboring country. This time, after heavy rains, it was announced that 5,000 cusecs of water were released, that is, that amount of water was released in seconds.
In fact, it is not the only one of its kind. A cusec is a unit formed by combining two constellations. This includes units of volume in cubic feet or cubic feet and units of time in seconds. The number of cubic feet of water released from a dam in one second is measured in cusecs.
