PMSS Scholarship 2022-23: From now on every meritorious student is being helped by this Modi scholarship of the central government called PMSS Scholarship 2022. Prime Minister’s Scholarship Scheme (PMSS)
The ‘Prime Minister’s Scholarship Scheme (PMSS)’ ’ is being implemented to encourage technical and post-graduate education for the widows and wards of the deceased/ex-service personnel of the Armed Forces. The scheme is funded out of National Defence Fund administered by Prime Minister’s Office. Scholarships are available for education at various technical institutions (medical, dental, veterinary, engineering, MBA, MCA, and other equivalent technical institutions having AICTE/UGC approval).
The Scheme was introduced in 2006. Five thousand five hundred (5500) scholarships are being awarded annually under this scheme. The number of scholarships was Rs.2,000/- for boys and Rs.2,250/- for girls per month and is paid annually. This has now been increased to Rs.2,500/- per month for boys and Rs.3,000/- per month for girls w.e.f. FY 2019-20. The payment is made through ECS into the bank account of the selected students.
This Modi scholarship is available to talented but financially backward students.
This year students of the 2022-23 academic year can apply for PMSS Scholarship – 2022. But only meritorious and deserving students will get this scholarship. students studying in the academic year 2022-23 can apply. In this case, click on the PMSS option on the specific website and apply according to the instructions. For newbies, click on the “New Application” option.
Applications are already underway. This application will end on 30.12.2022. So apply as soon as possible without delay. This scholarship has been started in the financial year 2016-17. More than 90% of applicants are awarded this PMSS Scholarship.

- For new users, registration
- Fill in all the details mentioned in the form
- Upload the photo of the applicant only IN JPEG/ JPG/ GIF or PNG format.
- At the end fill in the captcha
- After filling in the required details click Submit.
For Old User (PMSS Renewal)
- Log in with the username or password you have created (PMSS Login)
- Complete the application process to apply for the scholarship
- A scanned copy of all required documents has to be uploaded.
- Submit the application form.
What does it take documents to apply for Modi Scholarship?
- Serving certificate (in case of serving staff) issued by HOO.
- Certificate issued by the concerned State Government indicating that the State Police personnel has been killed in a Naxal/Terrorist attack.
- Minimum Educational Qualification Certificate (MEQ) as applicable – Class 12th Mark Sheet, Graduation Mark Sheet (for all years), or Diploma Mark Sheet (for all semesters).
- PPO/Discharge Certificate/Book (Mandatory for Category A to F).
- Death Certificate (applicable to deceased employees).
- Disability Certificate (applicable to disabled employees).
- Certificate of Gallantry Award (Applicable to Gallantry Award winners.
