JEE Main 2024 Date: JEE Main, also known as the Joint Entrance Examination – Main, is a national-level entrance examination for admission to undergraduate engineering and architecture programs at various institutions across India. It is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) twice a year, in January and April.

JEE Main 2024 Date
The JEE Main 2024 exam dates have been announced by NTA. The exam will be conducted twice, in January and April 2024.
- JEE Main 2024 Session 1: January 24 to February 1, 2024
- JEE Main 2024 Session 2: April 1 to April 15, 2024
JEE Main 2024 Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for JEE Main 2024, candidates must:
- Have passed class 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognized board with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects.
- Have secured at least 50% marks in aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics in class 12 (or equivalent) examination.
- Be born on or after October 1, 1998. There is a five-year relaxation for SC, ST, and PwD candidates.
JEE Main 2024 Exam Pattern
JEE Main 2024 will be conducted in online mode. The exam will consist of two papers: Paper 1 and Paper 2.
- Paper 1 is for admission to B.E./B.Tech. programs. It consists of 30 questions each in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
- Paper 2 is for admission to B.Arch. and B.Planning programs. It consists of 30 questions in Mathematics and 20 questions each in Drawing and Aptitude Test.
Each question in JEE Main 2024 will be of four marks. There will be negative markings for incorrect answers (-1 mark for each incorrect answer).
JEE Main 2024 Syllabus
The JEE Main 2024 syllabus is based on the NCERT syllabus for classes 11 and 12. The syllabus for each subject is as follows:
- Physics: Mechanics, Heat and Thermodynamics, Waves and Optics, Electricity and Magnetism, Modern Physics.
- Chemistry: Physical Chemistry, Inorganic Chemistry, and Organic Chemistry.
- Mathematics: Algebra, Calculus, Coordinate Geometry, and Vector Algebra.

The CSAB counseling process will be conducted in multiple rounds. In each round, candidates will be allotted seats in various institutions based on their JEE Main 2024 score and rank.
