IRCTC Recruitment 2023: Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation LTD. (IRCTC) has released a notification for the recruitment of Apprentice Trainees in Computer Operator and Programming Assistant (COPA). There are a total of 25 vacancies.
Indian Railway Catering & Tourism Corporation Ltd (IRCTC – A Govt of India Enterprise-Mini Ratna), East Zone, Kolkata invites applications for engagement as Apprentice Trainees (ITI holders) under
Apprenticeship Act-1961 in Computer Operator and Programming Assistant (COPA) trade/discipline for a period of one year as a measure of skill-building initiative for the nation as detailed below.
Educational Qualification:

The Applicants should have already passed the prescribed qualification on 01.04.2022 as under:-
Candidate must have passed the Matriculation Examination with minimum 50% marks in aggregate from a recognized Board.
Technical Qualifications: ITI certificate affiliated to NCVT/SCVT is compulsory in COPA trade
Trades under which apprentices are to be engaged: Computer Operator and Programming Assistant (COPA).
Age Limit for IRCTC Recruitment:

Should have completed 15 years and should not have completed 25 years as on 01.04.2022.
(Relaxation to SC/ST-5 yrs., OBC-3 yrs., Ex-Serviceman-10 yrs., Differently abled-10 yrs)

Posting will be in Kolkata only. (Anywhere in Kolkata)
Selection Procedure:
What is the selection process for the recruitment of IRCTC –in detail below;
Selection will be based on the merit list prepared on the basis of the percentage of marks obtained in the matriculation examination. ITI certificate affiliated to NCVT/SCVT is compulsory in the COPA trade.
There will be no written test or viva. Applicants are advised to fill up marks and to attach supportive documents for all the educational/Technical qualifications, especially for their matriculation & ITI (COPA) course.
The final selection of applicants would be subject to verification of original testimonials.
Applications incomplete in any form will summarily be rejected.
Candidates engaged as Apprentices will be released after one year of Apprenticeship training. Candidates will have no right to claim regular employment in IRCTC in any form.

- 10th Standard Mark Sheet and ITI standard mark sheet.
- Certificate for proof of date of birth (Standard 10 or its equivalent certificate or mark sheet indicating date of birth or School Leaving Certificate indicating date of birth)
- Consolidated ITI mark sheet of all semesters of the trade in which applied/Provisional National Trade Certificate indicating marks.
- National Trade Certificate issued by NCVT/SCVT or Provisional National Trade Certificate issued by NCVT/SCVT
- Caste certificate for SC/ST/OBC Applicants
- Disability certificate, in case of PwBD Applicants
- Discharge Certificate/Serving Certificate, in case of applicants applied against Ex-servicemen quota

Selected candidates engaged as Apprentices will be paid a stipend during the training at the following prescribed rate as per extant rules:-

| 6 | Technician apprentice or diploma holder in any stream or Sandwich Course (Students from Degree Institutions) | Rs. 8,000/- per month |
| 7 | Graduates apprentices or degree apprentices or degree in any stream | Rs. 9,000/- per month |
