HPCL Recruitment 2023: Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) has released a notification for the recruitment of Graduate Apprentice Trainees for Engineering and Technician Diploma Apprentice Trainees as per the apprentices atc, 1961 (2022-23).
HPCL is a Government of India Enterprise under the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas (MOP&NG), Government of India.
It is engaged in the Refining, Storage, Distribution, and marketing of Petroleum products and operates Refineries at Mumbai and Vishakhapatnam and has a vast marketing network consisting of Zonal offices, Regional offices, Terminals, Pipeline networks Aviation Service stations, LPG Botting Plants, and Inland Relay Depots, etc. spread across India.
HPCL, Refinery Division proposes to engage the following Apprentices at Mumbai Refinery as per the provision of the Apprentices Act, 1961, and the Rules thereof.

The minimum age limit is 18 years and the maximum age limit is 25 years as of the commencement of the online application (01.02.2023).
Age relaxation by 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC-NC, and 10 years for PwBD.

Monthly stipend Rs.25000/- per month
For Diploma Apprentices Trainees –
Monthly stipend Rs.15000/- per month

Eligibility Criteria:
What are the eligibility criteria for the applications of HPCL –in detail below;
- Only Indian nationals are eligible to apply.
- Candidates living in Mumbai Metropolitan Region (Mumbai, Mumbai City, Mumbai Suburban, Thane, Palghar, Navi Mumbai, and Raigad) only shall apply for apprenticeship training at Mumbai Refinery of HPCL.
- Only the candidates registered and approved on the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS) web portal and by the Board of Apprenticeship Training (BOAT) will be considered for selection to undergo Apprenticeship Training.
- Engineering Graduates in Civil/Mechanical/ Electrical/ Chemical/ Electrical & Electronics/Instrumentation/Computer Science/ IT streams who have completed Engineering Graduation after 01-02-2021 onwards are eligible to apply. Candidates passed out prior to 01-02-2021 are not eligible for apprenticeship training.
- Technician Diploma Apprentice Trainees in Civil/Mechanical/ Electrical/ Chemical/ Electrical & Electronics/Instrumentation streams who have completed Diploma Engineering after 01-02-2021 onwards are eligible to apply. Candidates passed out prior to 01-02-2021 are not eligible for apprenticeship training.
- Candidates belonging to the General/OBC-NC/ EWS category must have 60% aggregate whereas candidates belonging to SC/ST/PwBD (VH/HH/OH) must have 50% aggregate marks in all years/semesters in the qualifying examinations.
Selection Process for HPCL Recruitment:

Candidates fulfilling all the above-mentioned eligibility criteria will be called for Interview. Management reserves the right to restrict the number of candidates to be called for Interviews which will be tentatively scheduled in the month of February 2023.
The merit list will be drawn basis of the scores in the INTERVIEW and the academic results of the Engineering / Diploma.
The final offer for Apprenticeship Training would be subject to clearing the Medical Test as per HPCL standards and submission of all documents/certificates towards proof of Age, Qualifications, Caste, Medical certificate of PwBD, and medical fitness, etc.., as may be applicable.
