WBP Lady Constable Recruitment 2023: The West Bengal Police Department has announced the recruitment of Lady Constables for the year 2023. This recruitment drive is a great opportunity for women who aspire to serve society by being a part of the police force.

Age Limit:

The age limit for candidates is between 18 to 27 years, and there is a relaxation in age limit for candidates belonging to reserved categories.

Salary Amount for WBP Lady Constable:

Lady Constable in West Bengal Police -2023 in the Pay Scale of Level-6 in the pay matrix [Rs. 22,700 – Rs. 58,500].

Application Fees:

All categories of candidates except Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe (of West Bengal only) shall pay Rs. 193 /- only [Application Fees: Rs. 150/-; Processing Fees: Rs. 20/- plus Service Charge (including GST) : Rs. 23/-] to the authorized staff of the Sahaj Mitr Kendra.

Candidates belonging to the Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe (of West Bengal only) shall pay Rs. 43/- only (Processing Fees: Rs. 20/- plus Service Charge (including GST) : Rs. 23/-) to the authorized staff of the Sahaj Mitr Kendra.

Syllabus for WBP Lady Constable:

The West Bengal Police Department has released the syllabus for the recruitment of Lady Constables for the year 2023.

Selection Process for WBP Lady Constable Recruitment 2023:

The selection process for the West Bengal Lady Constable recruitment consists of four stages – written examination, physical measurement test, physical efficiency test, and document verification. It is important for candidates to clear all the stages to secure the job. The written examination is the first stage of the selection process and candidates must score the minimum qualifying marks to be eligible for the next stage.

The written examination consists of multiple-choice questions (MCQs) and is divided into two papers – Paper I and Paper II.

Paper I is a General Knowledge and Current Affairs paper while Paper II is a language paper. The total duration of the written examination is two hours and each paper carries 50 marks. The question paper is available in English, Bengali, and Nepali languages.

Paper I covers topics such as History, Geography, Political Science, Economy, Science and Technology, and Current Affairs. Candidates must be well-versed in these topics to score well in this paper. Paper II is a language paper where candidates have to choose from English, Bengali, and Nepali languages. This paper is designed to test the language proficiency of the candidate.

After clearing the written examination, candidates will have to appear for the physical measurement test (PMT) and physical efficiency test (PET). In the PMT, the height and weight of the candidate will be measured. Candidates who do not meet the physical requirements will be disqualified. In the PET, candidates have to complete tasks such as running, high jump, and long jump within a given time period.

The final stage of the selection process is document verification. In this stage, candidates have to provide all the necessary documents such as educational qualification certificates, age proof, caste certificates, and other required documents. It is important for candidates to carry all the documents in original and photocopy format for verification.
