CGL exam for recruitment to thousands of posts in central departments
Explain that through the CGL exam conducted every year by SSC, candidates are selected for recruitment to thousands of posts in Central Government Ministries, Departments, and Organizations. For the CGL exam of the year 2022, the commission removed more than 37 thousand government jobs. Whereas, earlier 7621 posts for the 2021 exam, 7108 for 2020, and 8428 posts for 2019 were removed. In this sequence, it is believed that the vacancies for SSC CGL 2023 (SSC CGL 2023 Vacancy) can be thousands.
Eligibility criteria
Age limit: The age limit varies for different posts in the range of 18-27, 18-30, 18-32, and 20-30 years. The upper age limit is relaxed for notified reserved categories.
Educational Qualification: The minimum requirement is a Bachelor’s Degree. Post-wise qualification is given in the notification.
Scheme of SSC CGL exam
The SSC CGL 2023 Computer-Based Examination will be conducted in two tiers– Tier-I and Tier-II. The merit list will be prepared on the basis of the overall performance of candidates in the Tier-II Examination only.

Application fee
Candidates (except women/SC/ST/PwD/ESM) will require to submit an application fee of Rs 100 while filling the form online. Online fee can be paid by candidates up to May 4.

The notification for the Combined Graduate Level Examination 2023 will be released by the Staff Selection Commission on the official website, ssc.nic.in, for which the download link will be activated on the home page itself. Also, for the application, the candidates have to submit their SSC CGL Application 2023 by first registering in the login section given on the home page itself and then logging in through the allotted registration number and password.
