Windows 11 install process: Windows 11 is now officially available for download in India and around the world. The new Windows operating system Eligible has been released as a free upgrade to Windows 10 PC. It will also come preloaded on new Windows PCs from manufacturers like Acer, Asus, Dell, HP and Lenovo. As announced via a blog post, Microsoft is aiming to offer Windows 11 for all eligible Windows 10 devices by mid-2022. Meanwhile, the Windows 11 upgrade will initially be available for the new Windows 10 PC. New PC models from manufacturers including Asus, HP and Lenovo are starting to come with pre-installed Windows 11. It is coming soon to partners like Acer and Dell. Microsoft is also bringing pre-installed Windows 11 into its new range of Surface devices, which will be available for sale in the US from today.
Windows 11 install process; How to get Windows 11 update on existing PC?
With the new PC, Microsoft is phasing out Windows 11 for eligible PCs. You can check for Windows 11 Update on your PC by going to the Windows Update section. You can also download Microsoft’s PC Health app on your PC to check if your machine is eligible for new updates.
If your PC is eligible to get Windows 11, but the update is yet to come, you can get the latest Windows operating system using Microsoft’s Installation Assistant. All you have to do is hit the Download Now button on the Installation Assistant and then follow the on-screen instructions.

Microsoft has also provided the option to create a bootable USB drive or DVD from its Windows 11 software page. Additionally, you can create a Windows 11 disk image (ISO) that will be available on bootable installation media such as a USB flash drive or DVD so you can install the latest Windows version on your machine.
What’s so special about Windows 11?
Introduced in June, Windows 11 is designed to be Microsoft’s most advanced operating system for PCs. The new version brings a new user interface that includes a centrally aligned start menu and upgraded fonts, as well as notification sound. It also integrates with Microsoft Team to connect users with others on chat, voice or video calls. Windows 11 also improves multitasking with Snap layouts and groups. It also supports many desktops and has many accessibility features like Narrator, Magnifier, Closed Captions and Windows Speech Recognition.
For the new Form Factor, Windows 11 comes with a larger Touch Target and includes haptic feedback support for Stylus Pen, including the Surface Slim Pen 2.

Microsoft has additionally pre-installed the Xbox app to allow users to browse, download and play more than 100 PC games. Dedicated app allows gamers access to Xbox Game Pass (subscription sold separately) to get a series of games to play on their PC.
Microsoft has enabled organizations with the ability to move their teams to the new Windows version via the cloud using Windows 365 or Azure Virtual Desktop.
Windows 11 will also have the ability to run Android apps in the future. At launch, Microsoft demonstrated dedicated access to the Amazon Appstore within the Microsoft Store that would allow downloading new Android apps on Windows 11 PCs.
