WBJEE Exam Guidelines 2024: The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination (WBJEE) is a crucial gateway for aspiring students seeking admission to various undergraduate courses in engineering and pharmacy across West Bengal. The exam is conducted annually by the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB). Eligibility Criteria

  • Age: Candidates must be at least 17 years old as of December 31, 2024. For Marine Engineering courses, the maximum age limit is 25 years as of December 31, 2024.

  • Educational Qualification: Candidates must have passed the 10+2 or equivalent examination with Physics, Mathematics, and at least one of Chemistry/Computer Science/Biotechnology/Agriculture as compulsory subjects.

  • Minimum Marks: A minimum of 60% aggregate marks is required in the aforementioned subjects for Engineering courses, while for Pharmacy courses, the minimum aggregate is 50%.

Exam Pattern

WBJEE 2024 is conducted in offline mode, comprising two papers:

  • Paper I (Physics and Mathematics): 3 hours duration, 100 marks each section

  • Paper II (Chemistry and Pharmacy): 3 hours duration, 100 marks each section

The exam is objective, with multiple-choice questions (MCQs) for all sections.

Exam Schedule

The tentative schedule for WBJEE 2024 is as follows:

  • Online Application: January 2024 to February 2024
  • Correction of Application Form: February 2024

  • Admit Card Download: April 2024
