WBCHSE Class 11 Semester Exams 2025–26: The West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education (WBCHSE) has released a new official notification regarding the conduct of Class 11 examinations for the academic session 2025–26. The notice has been issued to all Heads of Institutions under the Council, outlining the schedule, responsibilities, and examination guidelines for Semester II, Supplementary, Practical, and Project examinations.
This update is important for school authorities as well as students preparing for their internal assessments in March 2026.
WBCHSE Class 11 Semester from the Notification
According to the notification issued on 5 January 2026, all affiliated institutions are required to conduct the following examinations for Class 11 students:
- Semester II Examination
- Semester I Supplementary Examination
- Practical Examination
- Project Examination
These examinations must be completed within March 2026, based on the convenience of each institution and strictly following the norms prescribed by the Council.
Marks Upload Timeline on WBCHSE Portal
The Council has clearly specified the online marks submission schedule:
- Marks Upload Start Date: 16 March 2026
- Marks Upload Last Date: 13 April 2026
All institutions must upload the marks through the official WBCHSE portal:

Timely submission of marks is mandatory to ensure proper academic records for students.
Examination Material Responsibility Lies with Institutions
The notification clearly states that:
- Schools must arrange blank answer scripts, question papers, and evaluation internally.
- Evaluation of answer scripts will be conducted by the respective institutions themselves.
Institutions have been strictly advised not to purchase question papers from any outside agency or organization. Instead, subject teachers of each institution must prepare the question papers internally.
This move ensures transparency, quality control, and adherence to the Council’s academic standards.
Instructions for Heads of Institutions
Heads of Institutions are directed to:
- Conduct examinations within the prescribed time frame
- Follow Council rules and academic norms
- Avoid outsourcing any part of the examination process
- Take all necessary actions to ensure smooth and fair conduct of exams
The Council emphasized that responsibility for proper execution lies entirely with the respective institutions.
