For M.Sc. (Computer Science) and M.Sc. (Data Science):
- Educational Qualification:
- A good academic record with at least 55% marks (or equivalent grade) at the MCA/M.E./M.Tech./MS/M.Sc. degree level in Computer Science, Data Science, Computer Science & Engineering, Computer Science & Technology, or other relevant disciplines from a recognized university.
- Candidates must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by UGC/CSIR or similar tests accredited by UGC like NET/SET.
- Desirable Qualifications:
- Ph.D. in the concerned subject.
- Two years of post-Ph.D. research or two years of teaching experience.
- Three years of professional experience in the software industry.
- Publications in high-impact SCI journals.
For B.Tech. (Computer Science & Engineering):
- Educational Qualification:
- B.E./B.Tech. and M.E./M.Tech./MS in relevant branches with first class at either the undergraduate or postgraduate level.
- At least one degree (UG or PG) should be in Computer Science and Engineering, Computer Science and Technology, Information Technology, or other relevant disciplines.
- Desirable Qualifications:
- Ph.D. in the concerned subject.
- Publications in high-impact SCI journals.
🎓 Relaxation & Exemptions
- Marks Relaxation:
- A relaxation of 5% in marks may be provided at the graduate and master’s level for candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC (Non-Creamy Layer)/Differently-abled categories.
- NET/SLET/SET Exemption:
- Candidates awarded a Ph.D. degree in accordance with the UGC (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of Ph.D. Degree) Regulations, 2009 are exempted from the requirement of NET/SLET/SET.
- Candidates registered for the Ph.D. program prior to July 11, 2009, shall be exempted from NET/SLET/SET, provided they meet certain conditions, including:
- Ph.D. degree awarded in regular mode.
- Evaluation of Ph.D. thesis by at least two external examiners.
- Open Ph.D. viva voce conducted.
- At least two research publications from the Ph.D. work, with at least one in a refereed journal.
- At least two presentations in conferences/seminars based on the Ph.D. work.
