NIFTEE 2026 Application Deadline Extended: Students planning to appear for the NIFT Entrance Examination 2026 (NIFTEE 2026) have received important relief. The National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), after receiving multiple requests from applicants, has officially extended the Stage 1 examination application deadline.

This extension has been granted in coordination with the National Testing Agency (NTA) to ensure that eligible candidates do not miss their opportunity due to technical or personal constraints.

However, authorities have made it clear that this is the final extension, and no further requests will be considered.

Programmes Offered Through NIFTEE 2026

Candidates appearing for NIFTEE 2026 should be aware that admissions will be conducted for a wide range of undergraduate, postgraduate, and research programmes. Each course has its own selection process, as outlined below:

    Admission is based on the General Ability Test (GAT) and Creative Ability Test (CAT), followed by a Situation Test.

  • Bachelor of Fashion Technology (B.F.Tech.)
    Selection is carried out only through the GAT score.

  • Master of Design (M.Des.)
    Candidates are shortlisted through GAT and CAT, after which a Personal Interview is conducted.

  • Master of Fashion Management (M.F.M.)
    Admission is based on GAT performance, followed by a Personal Interview.

  • Master of Fashion Technology (M.F.Tech.)
    Selection includes GAT and a Personal Interview.

  • NIFT Lateral Entry Admission (NLEA)
    Designed for eligible candidates seeking direct entry into higher semesters.

  • Artisans Category
    This category is meant for traditional and practicing craft artisans, offering them a pathway into formal design education.

  • Doctor of Philosophy (PhD)
    Admission involves a written examination, submission of a research proposal, and a personal interview.
