IND vs NZ Final Live Cricket Score, India vs New Zealand Champions Trophy 2025 Live Score Updates:

India have defeated New Zealand by four wickets to claim the Champions Trophy title in Dubai on Sunday. Besides a well-made 76 from captain Rohit Sharma, India were also helped by a 48 from Shreyas Iyer and an unbeaten 34 from KL Rahul as they chased down New Zealand’s 252-run target with six balls to spare.

Earlier, New Zealand managed to set India a target of 252 runs as India’s spinners kept things in check. Daryl Mitchell was the Black Caps’ top scorer with 63 runs while Michael Bracewell scored an unbeaten half century to guide the Kiwis past 250-run mark. For India, Varun Chakaravarthy and Kuldeep Yadav have claimed two wickets each while Mohammed Shami and Ravindra Jadeja chipped in with one wicket each. India had NZ under pressure in the middle overs, with the spinners choking run-flow but Bracewell’s late surge helped the Kiwis score 79 runs in the last 10 overs.

After Rachin got off to a flier, India pulled things back thanks to Varun and Kuldeep, the latter dismissing the key batters in Rachin and Kane Williamson. Read more about Kuldeep here. India was sloppy on the field, though, putting down numerous catches.

Players being interviewed right now

  • Varun Chakravarthy: It was a sudden inclusion. I did not expect it to turn out like this. I am quite happy.
  • Kuldeep Yadav: Luckily did not have to wear the pads tonight. Credit goes to Jaddu and KL Rahul. There was a lot of expectation ahead of the tournament because we have played such good cricket. This is a gift for the fans. We have played very good cricket.

It is very difficult to manage 4 spinners on the field, and I think Rohit did an outstanding job at that. Rohit planned it very well.

The whole of India will party today.

  • Shubman Gill: It felt amazing to bat with Rohit. We spoke to each other about moving the scoreboard and we would get there. This trophy is very satisfying, we missed out the last one, the ODI World Cup.
  • Virat Kohli: Wanted to win a big tournament after the tough Australian tour. There is so much talent in the dressing room and it is great to play with them. Being around the changing room in these tournaments drive me. The whole team stepped up in different games and that’s why we won the tournament. It is only a collective effort that can win you title. It has been amazing tournament.

I try to speak to these guys as much as possible, step in where I can help these guys. You try to leave a team by putting it in a better position. We have a squad that can dominate the next 8-10 years. We are in good hands.

Sad to see a good friend on the losing side. But I have been on the losing side too, only love between us.

  • KL Rahul: I don’t think I can say this on camera but I was shitting myself. We had a couple of batters to come but I was tense. It’s all about keeping yourself calm and composed in situations like this. I think I’ve batted in times like this in 3 out of the 5 games (in this CT) and in one of the games I didn’t get to bat at all against Pakistan.

Hard to put it into words, pure skill and the way we’ve all played our cricket growing up, had to face a lot of challenges, we’ve had to face pressure from the time we’ve held a bat and decided to become professional cricketers. The way the BCCI has groomed us and the domestic circuit has trained us to handle pressure and do well in circumstances like these.

  • Shreyas Iyer: Feeling ecstatic, it’s ineffable, hard to put it into words. It’s my first ICC trophy, I’m out of words looking at everyone. The way everyone has performed, it’s been great. To be honest, I love to play under pressure, I feel like I thrive under pressure. I’ve been getting into such situations and it was great to contribute to the win.
