DRDO Graduate Apprentice Recruitment 2025: GAS TURBINE RESEARCH ESTABLISHMENT, Defence Research & Development Organization, Ministry of Defencem, Post Box No. 9302, C.V. Raman Nagar, Bengaluru – 560 093, has released a notification for the engagement of Apprenticeship Training at GTRE. Total 150 vacancies.
Under the provisions of The Apprentices Act, 1961, Director, Gas Turbine Research Establishment (GTRE), Bengaluru invites online applications from eligible candidates for Graduate (Engineering – BE / B.Tech), Graduate (Non EngineeringB.Com. / B.Sc. / B.A / BCA, BBA), Diploma & ITI Apprenticeship Training for the Financial Year 2025-26 as per details below;
Graduate Apprentice (B.E./B.Tech./ Equivalent in following disciplines) –
- Mechanical/Production/ Industrial Production Engg.

Age Limit (As on 08/05/2025):
Minimum Age – 18 Years Maximum Age – 27 Years (Upper Age limit for Reserved Categories and Persons with Disability [PWD] is as per Govt. of India Rules in vogue).
Minimum Qualification:
A degree in engineering or technology granted by a statutory University/ by an institution empowered to award such degrees by an Act of Parliament.
A degree granted by a statutory University/ by an institution empowered to award such degrees by an Act of Parliament / Educational Institutes established by a State Government / by an Institute recognised by the State Government or Central Government.
(i) A diploma in engineering or technology granted by a State Council or Board of Technical Educational established by a State Government /by a University/by an Institute recognised by the State Government or Central Government as equivalent to a diploma.
(ii) Sandwich course student who is undergoing training in order that they may hold a diploma in Engg./Technology.
i) A certificate in vocational Course involving two years of study after the completion of the secondary stage of school education recognised by the All India Council for Technical education. (ii) A sandwich course student who is undergoing training in order that he may hold a certificate mentioned in (i) above.
Important Instructions for DRDO Graduate Apprentice Recruitment:
The engagement and training will be strictly in accordance with Apprentices Act, 1961, Apprenticeship Rules and its amendments from time to time and there is no obligation for employment of apprentices on completion of their training.
The tenure of the Apprenticeship for the above categories / trades would be 12 months commencing from execution of the contract of Apprenticeship
Registration of (i) BE / B.Tech / Diploma (Engineering) & B.Com / B.Sc / B.A / BCA / BBA (Non Engineering) candidates on (https://nats.education.gov.in) and (ii) ITI candidates on Apprenticeship portal (www.apprenticeshipindia.org or www.apprenticeshipindia.gov.in ) is mandatory. Kindly see respective websites for registration. The registration No. is required to be mentioned while filling the application form.
The above registration No. is liable to be verified at the time of selection / Document verification.
Stipend (DRDO Graduate Apprentice Recruitment):
Candidates finally selected for the Apprenticeship Training would be eligible for stipend as given below as per Govt. of India rules:
Engineering Stream:
- Graduate Apprentice (B.E./B.Tech./Eqvt.) : Rs.9000/- per month
- Diploma Apprentice: Rs.8000/- per month
- ITI Apprentice: Rs.7000/- per month
Non-Engineering – General Stream: Graduate Apprentice (B.Com./ B.Sc. / B.A / BCA / BBA): Rs.9000/- per month
Selection Process for DRDO Graduate Apprentice Recruitment:
Graduate Apprentice Trainees – Engineering (B.E / B.Tech / Equivalent), Graduate Apprentice Trainees – Non Engineering (B.Com / B.Sc / B.A / BCA / BBA), Diploma Apprentice Trainees / ITI Apprentice Trainees: Depending upon the vacancies available in various disciplines, selection of candidates will be carried out by short listing on the basis of Academic Merit, subject to satisfactory verification of the documents.
