Subject-Wise Eligibility Criteria

  1. Chemistry

Candidates must have:

  • First Class M.Sc. in Chemistry (Physical / Analytical / Organic / Inorganic)
  • Valid CSIR/UGC/ICMR/DBT JRF fellowship
  1. Biological Sciences

Candidates must have:

  • First Class M.Sc. in any of the following:
    • Life Sciences
    • Zoology
    • Biotechnology
    • Molecular Biology
    • Microbiology
    • Pharmacology
    • Toxicology
    • Immunology
  • Valid CSIR/UGC/ICMR/DBT JRF fellowship

Age Limit and Relaxation

  • Maximum Age: 28 years (as on interview date)
  • Age Relaxation:
    • SC/ST candidates: 5 years
    • OBC candidates: 3 years
  • Age and qualification will be counted on the date of interview

Fellowship and Tenure

  • Selected candidates will work as JRF for the first 2 years
  • Based on performance, they may be upgraded to Senior Research Fellow (SRF) for the remaining tenure
  • Monthly stipend and allowances will be paid as per CSIR-UGC-NET norms
  • Selected candidates may also be allowed to register for a PhD during the fellowship period
