CEIR Portal Find Phone: Telecom Minister Shri Ravi Shankar Prasad has launched the CEIR Portal web portal ceir.gov.in to report phone theft. Central Government Find Lost Mobile Phone in 2023-24 Online – A new Central Equipment Identity Register (CEIR) service has been made available at ceir.gov.in to report phone theft online.

With this new CEIR Portal Online 2023 of the government, now all those people whose mobile is stolen or lost, can easily register their complaint this method is very easy, you just have to go online and fill out the registration form.

And the biggest feature of the portal is that you can block your mobile so that your important data does not get stolen. Apart from this, you can search the lost phone online from home with the help of the CEIR portal.

Find Lost Mobile: If your mobile is stolen or lost, you need to register a complaint on the CEIR Portal official website and inform C-DOT through helpline number 14422. Thus, the central government will now help you locate and block your lost or stolen mobile phone through IMEI verification. Currently, this scheme is only for Delhi and Maharashtra but according to the central government, this scheme will be implemented in the whole country soon.

With a view to curbing the market of counterfeit mobile phones and discouraging mobile phone piracy, protecting consumer interest, and facilitating law enforcement authorities to streamline law and order, DoT intends to access the IMEI database of all mobile operators To implement the Central Connected Equipment Identity Registry (CEIR).

The CEIR Portal serves as a central system for all network operators to share blacklisted mobile devices so that devices blacklisted in one network do not work on other networks, even if the device does not have a Subscriber Identity Module (SIM). The card has been changed.

How CEIR Portal helps to find stolen phone

  • First of all, the person whose mobile phone is lost or stolen will have to register an FIR at the nearest police station.
  • After this, the person has to inform DoT through a helpline number 14422.
  • After the police complaint, the DoT (DEPARTMENT OF TELECOMMUNICATIONS) will blacklist the IMEI number. This will block the handset from accessing any mobile network in the future.

  • File a report with the police, and keep a copy of the report.
  • Get a duplicate SIM card for a lost number from your telecom service provider (Airtel, Jio, Voda/Idea, BSNL, etc.).
  • Have your documents ready – A copy of the police report and identity proof must be provided. You can also provide a mobile purchase invoice.
  • Fill out the Request Registration Form for Blocking IMEI of Lost / Stolen Phone and attach the required documents.

  • After submitting the form you will be given a Request ID, which can be used to check the status of your request and unblock IMEI in the future.

  • To unblock your traced mobile you need to visit CEIR official website https://ceir.gov.in/
  • Now go to “CEIR Services” option available in the menu bar of the opened page
  • A drop-down list will appear on the screen from where you have to select the option “Un-Block found mobile”
  • A new page appears with the form where you have to enter the details such as Request ID, a mobile number that you provide while blocking, a reason for unblocking, and OTP for the mobile number.

Request to unblock

  • Select the GET OTP option and you will receive an OTP via SMS
  • Enter OTP and click on the “Submit” option to submit the request

  • To unblock your traced mobile you need to visit CEIR official website https://ceir.gov.in/
  • Now go to “CEIR Services” option available in the menu bar of the opened page
  • A drop-down list will appear on the screen from where you need to select the option “check request status”.CEIR Status

  • Your request status will appear on the computer screen

  • First of all, you have to visit the official website of the Central Equipment Identity Register
  • The home page of the website will open in front of you
  • On the home page, you have to click on the application link, now you have to select IMEI Verification
  • A new page will open in front of you where you will have to enter your mobile number
