BEL Job Vacancy 2025: Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) has released a notification for the recruitment of a Driver.

Bharat Electronics Limited, a Navaratna Company and India‟s premier Professional Electronics Company requires Ex-Servicemen for the following post on Permanent basis for the Transport department of Engineering Services/Bengaluru Complex.

The name of the post –Driver

Eligibility Criteria:

What are the eligibility criteria for the engagement of BEL –in detail below;

1. Candidate must be a citizen of India.
2. The upper age limit specified is applicable to UR Category candidates.
3. Relaxation of upper age limit for OBC (NCL) candidates is 3 years and for SC candidates is 5 years.
4. Candidates seeking age relaxation for Drivers posts, will be required to attach copy of necessary certificate(s) along with application and submit in original at the time of Driving Test / Written Test and at any subsequent stage of the process for verification.
5. The EWS / OBC (NCL) and Caste Certificate should be strictly in the format available on the BEL website (www.bel-india.in) failing which, candidates will be considered under „Un Reserved‟ category, provided they are otherwise meeting all other criteria stipulated for UR Candidates.
6. The reservation is 100% for Ex-servicemen.

Age Limit (Upper Age limit as on. 01.07.2025):

What are the age limit for the engagement of BEL –in detail below;

43 Years

Upper age limit is relaxable by 3 years for OBC (NCL) candidates and 5 years for SC candidates. Candidates should have an „Exemplary‟ record and medical category should be AYE or SHAPE-I Possession of valid license to drive heavy and light Motor Commercial Vehicles is required.

Educational Qualification & Experience:

What are the educational qualification and experience for the engagement of BEL –in detail below;

1. The candidates should possess the qualification of SSLC (Pass) and trade as “DRIVER” from Indian Army/Navy/Air Force are only eligible as specified above.
2. The candidates should have an Exemplary / Very Good record and medical category should be „AYE‟ or SHAPE-I along with valid driving license for driving light & heavy commercial vehicles.
3. Registration at Karnataka District Sainik Welfare Board is mandatory.
4. Knowledge of Kannada is essential.
5. Candidate should possess Experience Certificates/Discharge Certificates/Documents issued by the previous and present employer clearly indicating period of employment and post held.

Salary Amount (Pay & Allowances):

WG-III/CPIII. Rs.20500- 3%-79000/- + admissible allowances

Selected candidates will be inducted in the pay scales as mentioned in Page 1. In addition to Basic Pay, other allowance like Dearness Allowance, House Rent Allowance, Perquisites at the rate of 30% of the annual basic pay, reimbursement of medical expenses, Group Insurance, PF, Pension, Gratuity etc. as per Company rules will be a part of remuneration package.

The photocopies (legible & complete) of the following documents should be enclosed along with the application form:

1. Recent color passport size photograph
2. SSLC Marks Card.
3. Discharge book / certificate issued by the Indian Navy / Army / Air Force /clearly indicating the medical category, trade, date of discharge and Exemplary/Very good record.
4. Candidates need to submit copies of the relevant caste / community certificate issued by the competent authority, if applicable.
5. In case of candidates belonging to OBC(NCL) category the certificate should be in non – creamy layer format for applying for posts under Government of India dated on or after 01.07.2024
6. Candidates who are employed in Govt / Quasi Govt / Public Sector Undertaking are required to submit their applications through proper channel or furnish No Objection Certificate at the time of Driving Test/Written Test.
7. Candidates presently employed in the Defence Forces and are yet to be discharged need to submit documentary proof in support of their Medical category, Character and probable date of discharge.
8. Candidates meeting the above requirements may apply in the format available on the BEL website www.bel-india.in. Application form should be submitted in the prescribed formats in A4 size paper.
9. Valid driving license.

Applications should be accompanied by the following photocopy of self-attested documents:

1. Recent color passport size photograph.
2. SSLC marks card and any other valid document as proof of date of birth (Eg: Birth Certificate).
3. Candidates belonging to SC/ OBC(NCL)/EWS need to submit their certificate in the prescribed format.
4. Candidates belonging to OBC (NCL) category are required to submit the Community Certificate in the prescribed format issued by the Competent Authority for applying for posts under the Government of India on or after 01.07.2024 and valid EWS Certificate for the year 2025-26 by the Competent Authority. (Prescribed formats are made available on the website: www.bel-india.in. Income Certificate will not be considered as OBC Certificate.
5. No Objection Certificate from your present employer (employed in Govt./Quasi Govt./PSU) if applicable.
6. Experience Certificate, Discharge certificate, Discharge book issued by the Indian Armed Forces/Concerned Authority clearly indicating the medical category, date of discharge and exemplary / very good records – SHAPE-I or AYE

Candidates presently employed in the Armed Forces and yet to be discharged need to submit documentary proof in support of their Medical Category, Character and probable date of discharge.

Document of Registration and number from the Karnataka District Sainik Welfare Board.

Method of Selection:

The candidates meeting the criteria will be shortlisted for the selection process. Eligible candidates shall undergo Driving Test and those who qualify in the Driving Test will be shortlisted for written test. Driving Test and written test will be held at Bengaluru.
