Asia Book of Records: After earning a prestigious spot in the India Book of Records, Tripura Santiniketan Medical College is now poised to receive yet another remarkable honour, this time from the Asia Book of Records. In a grand ceremony scheduled for 11th April, the college will be formally felicitated for its extraordinary achievement, marking a proud moment not just for the institution but for the entire state of Tripura.
An official communication from the Asia Book of Records,
received by the college last month, and the recognition was confirmed. The honour is being awarded in acknowledgment of setting a new record for the highest state-wide student enrollment during the inaugural academic session of a medical college, a feat unmatched across the 48 countries in Asia.
According to the Asia Book of Records, this historic enrollment milestone has not only met but surpassed the standards laid out in the International Protocol for New Records (IPNR), making the college fully eligible for inclusion in the prestigious record book.
The felicitation ceremony will take place on 11th April at 12 noon on the college campus, where Mr. Sanjoy Bhola, an official representative from Faridabad, will present the award on behalf of Asia Book of Records to the college authorities.
In its maiden academic year (2024–25),
Tripura Santiniketan Medical College has admitted students from 21 different states across India, reflecting its rapid emergence as a national hub for medical education.
