WBPSC Food SI Exam Pattern:

Scheme of Examination
A. Written Examination
- One paper on General Studies and Arithmetic
- Total marks: 100 (50 marks each)
- Duration: 1½ hours
- Multiple-choice objective-type questions
B. Personality Test
- Full marks: 20
- Only a limited number of candidates will be called for the personality test, based on their merit in the written exam
- Final merit list will be prepared based on the total marks obtained in the written exam and the personality test
Syllabus of the Written Examination
- General Studies: Matters of common experience including every day science, current events and problems with special reference to India, elementary knowledge of Indian History and Indian Geography.
- Arithmetic: Questions will be set on the basis of the syllabus of the Madhyamik Examinations of the W.B.B.S.E. with mental ability.

The exam consists of two parts:
- Written exam: This exam is 1½ hours long and has 100 marks. It consists of two papers: General Studies and Arithmetic. Each paper is worth 50 marks. The questions are multiple choice objective type.
- Personality test: This test is worth 20 marks and only a limited number of candidates are called for it, based on their merit in the written exam.
