DRDO JRF Job Vacancy 2025: DEFENCE RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT ORGANISATION DEFENCE GEOINFORMATICS RESEARCH ESTABLISHMENT HIM PARISAR, PLOT NO-01, SECTOR 37A CHANDIGARH – 160036 (UT), has released a notification for the engagement of Junior Research Fellow (JRF).

WALK-IN INTERVIEW FOR THE POSITION OF JUNIOR RESEARCH FELLOW (JRF) DATE OF INTERVIEW: 6 &7 May 2025.

Eligibility Criteria for DRDO JRF Job Vacancy:

Essential: ME/M.Tech in Computer Science/Computer Engineering with first division (both at Graduate and Post Graduate level) from a recognized University.

OR

M.Sc./BE/B.Tech in first division with NET/GATE in Computer Engineering/Computer Science from a recognized University.

Desirable:

• Candidate having the knowledge of numerical modelling/simulation and coding experience
• Knowledge of virtual reality and development in Unity.
• Knowledge of virtual Desktop Infrastructure, HPC system and data center.

Essential: Master’s in Science in first division (both at Graduate and Post Graduate level) with NET/GATE in the field of Physics/Geophysics from a recognized University.

Desirable: Candidate having the knowledge of numerical modelling/simulation and coding experience.

Essential: M.Sc in first division (both at Graduate and Post Graduate level) with NET / GATE in Environmental Science/ Statistics.

Desirable: Knowledge of Computer and statistical tools.

Essential: ME or M.Tech in first division (both at Graduate and Post Graduate level) in Remote Sensing & GIS/Geo-Informatics/ Geomatics/Geospatial Technology/ Spatial Information Technology from a recognized University. OR M.Sc/BE/B.Tech in first division with NET/GATE in Remote Sensing & GIS/Geo-Informatics or equivalent from a recognized Institute /University.

Desirable:

• Experience of field work in Himalaya.
• Exposure of various remote sensing image processing and GIS software’s, Computer programming, AI/ML based analysis and modeling.
• Knowledge and handling of SAR data

Essential: ME/M.Tech in Design/Instrumentation Engineering in first division (both at Graduate and Post Graduate level) from a recognized University.

OR

BE/B.Tech in first division with NET/GATE in Mechanical/Instrumentation Engineering from a recognized University.

Desirable: Hand on Autocad and Solidworks software, Dealing with sensors and Instruments

Essential: ME/M.Tech in Electronics & Communication Engineering/Instrumentation Engg. in first division (both at Graduate and Post Graduate level) from a recognized University.

OR

BE/B.Tech in first division with NET/GATE in Electronics & Communication Engineering/ Instrumentation Engg. from a recognized University.

Desirable: (i) Embedded Programming. (ii) Programming knowledge in C/C++.

Salary Amount:

37000/- plus HRA per month

Duly filled complete application form with bio-data and one set of self-attested copies of Mark sheets/Certificates (10th onwards), Caste Certificate, Experience certificates, publications, if, any addressed to The Director, Defence Geoinformatics Research Establishment (DGRE), Him Parisar, Sector 37A, Chandigarh (UT) should be brought at the time of Walk-in interview along with original documents and a recent passport size photograph, duly affixed on the application. The candidates working in Govt./Public Sector Undertaking/Autonomous Bodies should bring NOC from their employer at the time of walk-in-interview.

Interview Schedule:

Desirous candidates appearing for a walk-in interview are required to report at DGRE, Chandigarh as per the following schedule: –

1. Reporting time would be 08:30 AM and Applications would be accepted up to 10:00 AM.
2. Initial screening and verification of testimonials would be done between 10:00-11:00 AM on the respective interview Date.
3. Interview of the screened/short listed candidates would take place from 11:00 AM onward.

GENERAL CONDITIONS (DRDO JRF Job Vacancy 2025):

1. One candidate can apply only for one fellowship as per his/her essential and desirable qualification.
2. The number of fellowships may increase or decrease depending upon the prevailing requirements.
3. No govt. accommodation would be provided by the organization to the candidates.
4. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview/joining, irrespective of the selection.

The candidates shall be shortlisted for the interview on the basis of criteria in order of preference: –

• Score of national written test of NET/GATE.
• Percentage of marks obtained in minimum qualifying degree (will be considered only when a candidate has not appeared in NET/GATE).
