DRDO JRF Recruitment 2025: Government of India, Ministry of Defence, Defence Research & Development Organization, has released a notification for the recruitment of Junior Research Fellow (JRF).
Vehicle Research and Development Establishment (VRDE), Ahmednagar, is premier laboratory under DRDO, engaged in Research & Development in the area of light tracked and wheeled vehicles.
VRDE invites young and meritorious Indian nationals for walk-in Interview, who desire to pursue defense related research as junior research fellow (JRF) in following subject.
Discipline –
- Computer Science & Engineering (CSE)
- Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE)
- Electrical Engineering (EE)
Educational Qualification for DRDO JRF Recruitment:
What are the educational qualification for the recruitment of DRDO –in detail below;
BE/B.Tech in above disciplines in first division from a recognized university with valid GATE score as on date of interview. Or ME/M.Tech from a recognized university in above disciplines in first division both at Graduate & Post-graduate level.
Age Limit:
What is the age limit for the applications of DRDO –in detail below;
28 years as on as date of interview, relaxation by Five years for SC/ST and Three years for OBC y (Non- creamy layer ) candidates. Caste certificate copy to be enclosed with application, if applicable.
Nationality: Only Indian Nationals can apply
Salary Amount/Stipend:
Monthly emoluments of Rs.37,000/- pm plus House Rent Allowance (HRA) as admissible.

Tenure for DRDO JRF Recruitment:
Initially the offer shall be for a period of two years which may be extended for further two years period (one year at a time) subject to satisfactory performance to be assessed by Review Committee.
Application procedure & Interview Guidelines (DRDO JRF Recruitment 2025):

Desirous candidates appearing for written test & interview are required to report at VRDE, Vahannagar PO, Ahmednagar — 414 006 (Maharashtra) at 09:00 hrs on the dates specified for respective disciplines
Candidates are required to produce the duly filled application form, as per the format provided, along with attested copies of certificate/testimonials w.r.t qualification, experience and caste at the time of walk-in-interview. It is also required to affix recent passport size photograph on the right top corner of. the first page of the application. (If any documents/certificate fumished are in a language other than English, a duly self-attested transcript in English of the same to be attached
- Applications will be accepted starting from 0900 hrs to 1000hrs on the above date of interview. Candidates arriving late will not be allowed to participate in walk-in-interview process.
- Short listing of eligible candidates will be done between 1000-1100 hrs on the above date of interview
- Interview of the shortlisted candidates will take piace from 1100 hrs onwards
Incomplete application will be rejected during the screening for eligibility.
Incase large number of candidates appear, interview process might extend to-the next day. Therefore, candidates are requested fo come prepared /make arrangement accordingly.
While appearing for interview, candidates are required to produce all certificate/testimonials in original for verification
Candidate presently employed in Govemment department/PSUs/Autonomous bodies will be required to produce NoObjection-Certificate from the employer at the time of interview.
Candidate should bring Govt. issued photo ID Proof such as Aadhar Card/PAN card /Passport etc. in original.
Electronic items like Mobile Phone/Pen drive/laptop/smart watch etc., strictly will not be allowed to carry inside VRDE campus.
