CAPF Assistant Commandants Recruitment 2025: Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released a notification for the recruitment of Central Armed Police Forces (Assistant Commandants).
Candidates applying for the examination should ensure that they fulfill all eligibility conditions for admission to the Examination. Their admission at all the stages of the examination will be purely provisional subject to satisfying the prescribed eligibility conditions. Mere issue of e-Admit Card to the candidate will not imply that his/her candidature has been finally cleared by the Commission. Verification of eligibility conditions with reference to original documents is taken up only after the candidate has qualified for Interview/Personality Test.
Both Male and Female candidates are eligible for appointment to the post of Assistant Commandants.
Nationality : No person who is not a citizen of India shall, except with the consent of the Central Government signified in writing be appointed or employed under these Rules. Provided that nothing contained in these rules shall debar the appointment, enrolment or employment of a subject of Nepal or Bhutan under these Rules.
Educational Qualification for CAPF Assistant Commandants Recruitment:

Minimum Educational Qualifications: A candidate must hold a Bachelor’s degree of a University incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India or other educational institutions established by an Act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as a University under Section-3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956 or possess an equivalent qualification.
Age Limits:

A candidate must have attained the age of 20 years and must not have attained the age of 25 years on 1st August, 2025, i.e. they must have been born not earlier than 2nd August, 2000 and not later than 1st August, 2005.
Application Fee for CAPF Assistant Commandants Recruitment:
Candidates (excepting Female/SC/ST Candidates who are exempted from payment of fee) are required to pay fee of Rs.200/- (Rupees Two Hundred only) either by remitting the money in any Branch of State Bank of India or by using Visa/Master/RuPay Credit/Debit Card/UPI Payment or by using Internet Banking of any Bank.
Applicants who opt for “Pay by Cash” mode should print the system generated Pay-in-slip during part II registration and deposit the fee at the counter of SBI Branch on the next working day only.
“Pay by Cash” mode will be deactivated at 23.59 hours of 24.03.2025 i.e. one day before the closing date; however, applicants who have generated their Pay-in- Slip before it is deactivated may pay at the counter of SBI Branch during banking hours on the closing date. Such applicants who are unable to pay by cash on the closing date i.e during banking hours at SBI Branch, for reasons whatsoever, even if holding valid pay-inslip will have no other offline option but to opt for available online Debit/Credit Card/UPI 10 Payment or Internet Banking payment mode on the closing date i.e. till 18:00 Hours of 25.03.2025.
Selection Procedure/Scheme:
The Selection Procedure/Scheme of the Examination will be as follows:
Written Examination: The written examination to be conducted by Union Public Service Commission will be held on 03rd August, 2025 and will comprise two papers. Paper I will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 Noon and Paper II will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- Paper I : General Ability and Intelligence – 250 Marks The questions in this paper will be of Objective (Multiple Answers) Type in which the questions will be set in English as well as Hindi.
- Paper II : General Studies, Essay and Comprehension – 200 Marks In this paper candidates will be allowed the option of writing the Essay Component in English or Hindi, but the medium of Precis Writing, Comprehension Components and other communications/language skills will be English only.

Candidates are required to apply online only by using the website https://upsconline.gov.in. It is essential for the applicant to register himself/herself first at One Time Registration (OTR) platform, available on the Commission’s website, and then proceed for filling up the online application for the examination. OTR has to be registered only once in life time. This can be done anytime throughout the year. If the candidate is already registered, they can proceed straightway for filling up the online application for the examination.
