Bangladesh extends COVID-19 travel ban for India till June 14

Bangladesh India Border Closure: Despite some improvement in the Corona situation in India.

The Bangladesh government decided to extend the deadline for closing the border.

Dhaka has decided to close all borders with India till June 14. After the 2nd wave Covid situation in India, all the borders were closed in Bangladesh from 26th April.The border closure was due to end on May 31st. This Period extends COVID-19 travel ban for India till June 14

Despite the ban on public movement, goods will continue to enter Bangladesh from India through the land border as before. The same approach will continue from the side of Bangladesh. 

One of the reasons for Bangladesh’s decision to close the border with India is the sudden rise in the number of deaths related to covid in that country.

The Ministry of Health of Bangladesh reports to the government of that country that the rate of covid infection is still quite high in various Indian districts adjacent to Bangladesh. According to media sources in Bangladesh, the decision to close the border has been extended on the basis of which.

Another 34 people have died in Kovid in the last one day in Bangladesh. As a result, the total number of deaths due to the deadly virus in that country has reached 12,583.
