TATA Steel Millennium Scholarship 2026: The Millennium Scholarship 2025–2026 is a prestigious education support programme aimed at helping deserving students pursue higher education in professional and academic fields. The scholarship is awarded to eligible wards of employees and ex-employees under defined categories and supports studies in India as well as selected institutions abroad.

The scholarship is administered by the Millennium Scholarship Committee and covers a wide range of disciplines, including engineering, medicine, management, law, science, and other professional courses.

Types of TATA Steel Millennium Scholarship:

The scholarship is divided into two main categories based on the level and nature of the course.

Category A Scholarship

  • Scholarship Amount: ₹75,000 per year
  • Duration: Per annum (as applicable to the course)
  • Who Can Apply:
    Students admitted to institutions listed in the official annexure for the academic year 2025–2026
  • Special Coverage:
    Includes students pursuing MBBS (4.5 years) in State, Private, or Central Government Medical Colleges through NEET
  • Important Note:
    No internship stipend is provided for MBBS students

Total Seats: 120

  • 80 seats for wards of workers and supervisors
  • 20 seats for wards of officers
  • 20 seats for wards of employees covered under the Sunhere Bhavishya Ki Yojana (SBKY)

Category B Scholarship

  • Scholarship Amount: ₹36,000 per year
  • Who Can Apply:
    Students admitted to approved professional courses in recognized institutions
  • Postal or correspondence courses are not eligible

Total Seats: 240

  • 130 seats for boys & girls
  • 30 seats reserved exclusively for girls
  • 40 seats for wards of officers
  • 40 seats for wards under SBKY

Courses and Institutions Covered

The Millennium Scholarship supports students studying in top institutions across India and selected universities abroad. Covered disciplines include:

  • Engineering: B.Tech and postgraduate engineering courses from IITs, NITs, IIITs, ISM Dhanbad, BITS Mesra, and other reputed institutes
  • Medical: MBBS through NEET
  • Management: MBA from institutions like IIMs, XLRI, TISS, NMIMS, SPJIMR, XIMB, IMT, ISB, and others
  • Law: National Law Universities and leading law schools
  • Science & Research: Programs from IISc, ISI, CMI, IIST, IISERs, and BS-MS dual degree programs
  • International Studies: Full-time graduation or postgraduation courses from recognized foreign universities (subject to committee approval)

Eligibility Conditions

To be eligible for the Millennium Scholarship:

  • Students must be admitted to a full-time regular course in the academic year 2025–2026
  • Minimum marks required in the last qualifying examination:
    • 60% for General category
    • 50% for SC/ST and Persons with Disabilities (PwD)
  • Admission must be through a recognized competitive selection process
  • Students receiving any other scholarship or financial aid are not eligibl

Important Rules and Continuation Conditions

  • A maximum of two scholarships can be awarded to wards from the same employee or ex-employee
  • The scholarship can be discontinued if academic performance or conduct is unsatisfactory
  • At least 50% marks must be secured every year for renewal
  • Renewal requires submission of attested mark sheets and institutional certification
  • The scholarship amount is paid by cheque or bank draft to the student

Application Process for TATA Steel Millennium Scholarship

  1. The online application link is active until 28 February 2026
  2. Applicants must fill out the online form with all required attachments
  3. If online submission is not possible, a printed PDF application may be submitted physically or via courier to the Employment Bureau before the deadline
  4. Applicants sending forms by courier should confirm receipt before the last date
