NEET UG 2026 Warning: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has issued a strong warning for candidates planning to appear in NEET UG 2026. Any mismatch between Aadhaar details and the information filled in the NEET application form can lead to cancellation of registration, even before the exam process begins.

What the NTA Warning Means
According to the latest advisory, Aadhaar will be used as a primary identity document during NEET UG 2026 registration. If the details do not match exactly, the application may be rejected without further notice.
Key details that must match Aadhaar records include:
- Candidate’s full name
- Date of birth
- Gender
- Photograph and biometric details
Even minor spelling errors or outdated Aadhaar data can create problems during verification.
Who Is Most at Risk
- Students who recently corrected their name or date of birth in school records
- Candidates using old Aadhaar cards without updated photos
- Applicants with differences between Aadhaar and Class 10 certificates
The NTA has clearly stated that responsibility for correct details lies entirely with the candidate.
Category & PwBD Candidates: Extra Caution Needed
Candidates applying under SC, ST, OBC-NCL, EWS, or PwBD categories must also ensure:
- Category certificates are valid and updated
- PwBD candidates have a valid UDID card
Any document mismatch may affect not only registration but also counselling and seat allotment later.
