Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must meet one of the following educational qualifications:
- B.E./B.Tech in first division with valid NET or GATE, or
- M.E./M.Tech in first division at both graduate and postgraduate levels, or
- Postgraduate degree in Basic Science in first division with NET qualification
Age Limit:
- Maximum 28 years as on the cut-off date
- Age relaxation: 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC candidates
Desirable Skills
Applicants with strong expertise in the following areas will be preferred:
- Algorithm design and problem-solving
- Programming languages such as Python or C++
- AI and ML frameworks like PyTorch, TensorFlow, Keras, TensorRT
- Specialized knowledge in NLP, Computer Vision, SLAM/ROS, or Reinforcement Learning
Fellowship Benefits
- Monthly Stipend: ₹37,000
- House Rent Allowance (HRA): As applicable (currently 30%)
- Total Monthly Emoluments: ₹48,100 (approx.)
Accommodation may be provided subject to availability, in which case HRA will be adjusted.
Tenure of Fellowship
The fellowship will initially be offered for two years as JRF and may be upgraded to Senior Research Fellow (SRF) for the remaining tenure based on annual performance assessment, as per DRDO norms.
Selection Process
- Shortlisting based on GATE score or qualifying degree marks
- Final selection through personal interview or online interview
- Interview details will be communicated separately to shortlisted candidates
The decision of the selection committee will be final.
