The Board of Primary Education has announced the date for the first round of the interview process for the candidates who have cleared the TET examination for the post of primary teachers in 2014 and 2017. The board has also published a notification in this regard.
The notification informed me that the interview process will be completed in Kolkata this time. Candidates who have selected ‘Kolkata’ as the interview venue at the time of interview registration will be called for an interview on 27th December i.e. Tuesday.

The board informed that every candidate will be informed by mail when and where to appear for an interview. Candidates can also download the ‘call letter’ from the official portal of primary teacher recruitment.
The Board wants to conduct this interview process with utmost transparency. So this time the board has decided to videograph the entire interview process. The notification clearly states that if a candidate is ‘ineligible’ then he/she will not be allowed to sit for the interview.

A candidate has to go through three different processes to qualify WB Primary TET Exam 2022. Then only, he or she can officially apply as a teacher for class 1 to 5 in the schools of West Bengal. Since the exam notification is available online on the official website, the selection process will soon begin.

What documents should be taken to the interview?
The Board has informed that for the interview of the job seekers, TATE Exam Admit Card, TATE Pass Certificate, Secondary Admit Card or Certificate, Higher Secondary Marksheet, B.Ed or DLed/ D.Ed Marksheet, Post Graduation Marksheet, Caste Certificate, Voter or Aadhaar Card and a Passport Size photo should be attached.
Swapan Mondal, leader of the Bengali Teachers and Education Workers Committee, said about the transparent interview process, “The government can prevent all forms of corruption if it wants to. But it has been seen in the past that there has been corruption in almost all cases of teacher recruitment. It is not enough to talk about the strictness of the rules. It should be shown by observing it. The government’s goodwill is essential for this.”
