West Bengal Police Recruitment 2025: The West Bengal Police Recruitment Board (WBPRB) has announced the Preliminary Examination date for the recruitment of Sub-Inspectors (SI) in Armed and Unarmed Branches under West Bengal Police โ 2024. The examination is scheduled to be held on 12th October 2025 (Sunday). Eligible candidates who have applied can download theirย e-admit cardsย fromย September 28, 2025,ย onwards.

Educational Qualification
- Candidates must hold a Bachelorโs Degree in any discipline from a recognized University/Institute.
- Must have proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking in Bengali language (except for candidates of hill sub-divisions of Darjeeling & Kalimpong Districts).
Age Limit
- Minimum Age: 20 years
- Maximum Age: 27 years (as per recruitment year)
- Relaxations:
- SC/ST: 5 years
- OBC (A & B): 3 years
- Ex-servicemen: As per Government rules
Salary & Pay Scale
- Pay Band โ 3: โน32,100 โ โน82,900
- Grade Pay: โน3,900
- Plus allowances as per West Bengal Government norms.

Selection Procedure
The selection process consists of multiple stages:
- Preliminary Examination (screening test โ MCQs based)
- Physical Measurement Test (PMT)
- Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
- Final Combined Competitive Examination (Written)
- Personality Test / Interview
Final merit will be based on performance in the Written Exam + Personality Test.
Exam Day Instructions
- Candidates must bring printed e-Admit Card and original identity proof.
- Prohibited items: mobile phones, Bluetooth devices, smartwatches, calculators, scanners, digital gadgets, or any cheating material.
- Wearing of high-heeled footwear is not allowed.
- Violation of exam rules will lead to strict legal action and cancellation of candidature without representation.
